Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a glance

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were one of the new expansion franchises of the NFL in 1974, and in 1976 they played their first game. Their start was poor, with no wins in their first year. In the second year they changed positions with the Seattle Seahawks and were placed in the NFC South division. The Buccaneers would have a good four year stretch (1979 - 1982) with three playoff appearances. However, it would take until 1997 to see the Buccaneers in the postseason again. Having now a very good team, they had consecutive excellent years with the highlight being 2002. At the end of this season they will find themselves in the Super Bowl final which they will win against the Raiders. The following seasons of the Buccaneers were not successful. But in 2020 the team will return strongly to success with their second title. It took a lot of good player moves in Tampa and the arrival of trophy-winning specialist Tom Brady, himself adding a seventh ring to his collection, to accomplish this.
