Seattle Seahawks in a glance

In 1974 the Seattle Seahawks were founded when it was decided to expand the teams and together with Tampa Bay they made their debut in 1976, while in 1977 they moved to the AFC. In the 1980s they appeared in the playoffs four times. Future Hall of Famer Steve Largent retired after the 1989 season and it took the Seahawks 10 years to make another postseason appearance. In 2002 they return to the NFC West, while in 2005 they have an incredible year and finish the regular season with a 13-3 record and find themselves in the Super Bowl, where they are defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the following years, they remain competitive with constant appearances in the playoffs. In 2013, they repeat the outstanding season of 2005, compete with the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl and win their first and only title. The very next year they will get the ticket to the final again, but it will be the Patriots who will lift the trophy.
